Welcome to the first ever, hopefully soon to be annual, Beak of the Chick Regatta. We wanted to create a fun regatta that is an unusual distance and use it to foster a greater sense of cohesion within our rowing community. The course will begin at our bridge, run 1600 meters north on the Chickahominy River, cut across the river, and come back down finishing at the bridge. Racing will be in time trial format. The goal is to have a race at an unusual distance (not your 1000th 2k or 5k regatta). All ages of rower and classifications of boat are welcome. There is great camping on site. We are also proud to be hosting a charity event as our first "race" called Mark's and Finley's Bridge Chase. This event is for all categories and classifications of boats and all proceed will be donated to CHKD for pediatric medical research and services. The event schedule is fluid at this point. We will update it by the 1st of August. If you have a hull, hot seat, or double rowing conflict with the current schedule, please let us know, we'll adjust. Please come join us for what will be a great rowing experience.
